Canoeing on the Dunajec River
We recommend to our guests one of the most interesting attractions of the region: kayaking down the Dunajec River and rafting along the Poprad Valley. It is an idea for active recreation, perfect for individual tourists, families with children and groups on integration trips. Check why it’s worth it.
Jurków, the base for kayaking on the Dunajec River, is located about 20 km from Gródek nad Dunajcem. The calm current of one of the most beautiful Polish rivers encourages you to admire the charming backwaters from the deck of the canoe. The organizer’s offer includes kayaking trips adapted to the age and experience of participants.
Tourists looking for more intense experiences are recommended rafting along the Poprad Valley, which you can also go with children (the organizers recommend the attraction to children from 8 years of age, who will be able to row on their own). Rafting down the Poprad Valley takes place in rafting pontoons, intended for use in rough waters of mountain rivers. Rafting pontoons are comfortable and safe, because they are practically non-tipping. The mountain river Poprad is gentle and safe. Its current is shallow, and the nearby rapids do not pose a threat to the participants.
